Dr Pillai (Baba)’s Preview on How To Acquire Siddhi (Supernormal) Powers

 Just this afternoon, by sheer coincidence, I was going through Dr Pillai (Baba)’s old YouTube videos on my iPod when I came across one Baba had made on acquiring siddhi (supernormal) powers sometime in January 2008.   

In His YouTube video, Baba gave a fascinating theoretical description of  Patanjali’s teachings on how to acquire siddhi (supernormal) powers.  According to Baba, Patanjali gave this technique out of compassion for the human condition – Patanjali was aware that as human beings, we are stuck in ignorance and he wanted us to be able to develop an omniscient mind so that we can be in freedom and be free from the bondage of our limited human logical mind.   

What made my spine tingle was Baba’s closing words in His video (which He prophetically had uttered in January 2008):   

“Down the road, I have a very strange desire to do it [to teach Patanjali’s siddhi techniques] in a course form so that I can illustrate / take everyone / explain and give examples / give practice etc”   

That day has come, almost two and a half years later! In just two weeks, Baba will be teaching us Patanjali’s actual techniques to acquire siddhi (supernormal) powers!
