In this post, Dr Pillai (Baba) introduces another dominant archetype for 2011 – Karuppasamy.
Karuppasamy literally means “The Dark God” and although there are several variants to his name, Karuppasamy is usually portrayed with a huge sword and a white horse. According to Baba, Karuppasamy has been around since time immemorial but he has been pushed back to a minor role as a village deity. However, Baba says Karuppasamy will play a vital role for 2011.
Karuppasamy can do impossible things like Hanuman and he is known as the god of justice. Karuppasamy also has the power to defeat evil (black magic/evil eye).
In His talk, Baba mentions that Karuppasamy has been known by different civilisations and cultures by different names. Interestingly, we were in a Chinese temple in Singapore recently with Baba and He identified one of the Chinese deities present there as Karuppasamy!

This reminds me of Kwan Gung, “justice incarnate” . Usually depicted with dark red face and long beard, brandishing a huge saber. He is a most revered Dharma Protector in Taoist and Chinese-Buddhist temples. In one avatar, he was a famous general during the Three Kingdom Period, renowned for his courage and selfless sense of justice.

hi sir, i have read your articles about karuppusamy, i like him very much but here my problem is im really lack of confidence and bravery in life and that cause me always left behind sir. Whenever i watch any tamil movies and when there is input of karuppusamy, i feel he can help me to overcome this problem. Im always nervous, scared of peoples and scared of fights too. As a guy i should not have that kind of behaviour bcos it only will troubles me in future. I really hope u can help me with the blessings of karuppusamy. Is there any way to increase braveness and avoid fear, nervous, low confident? is there any mantra or any poojas for that? Really appreciate if you can help and guide me sir. Thank you sir.
