Namaste everyone,

Mohini attended one of the HoPE Center Diwali parties this week in Tirutani India and she shares her joy at being able to bring the Diwali cheer to these lovely HoPE Center children.

Here is Mohini in her own words:

I’ve never seen children so excited!

The anticipation of the children before the Tiruttani District HoPE Center Diwali party was so palpable- they were shining with happiness.  The children were so proud to display their talents, and were so theatrical.

When the men carried in the bags and boxes of gifts of new clothes- the children were wriggling with excitement.

They were overjoyed as they each received beautiful Diwali outfits and HoPE shirts.

The feast was a grand finale and all ate heartily and with gusto!

It truly was the greatest day in their lives- thanks to you for making it possible! Many more children will be celebrating their HoPE Center Diwali party in the coming week.

Every US$10 Diwali gift pack helps us to create the best Diwali ever for our HoPE children and abandoned elderly- just US$10 gives 2 hot festive meals + 1 new outfit to an elderly person  + 1 lovely outfit for a HoPE Center child.
